Palliative Care

More people are living longer, with life limiting, long-term conditions, increasing the need for good quality palliative and end of life care.

If you, or a family member, have a long term illness, palliative care is designed to provide comfort, by managing pain and other distressing symptoms. This may also involve psychological, social and spiritual support for you and your family or carers. Many people may receive palliative care during their illness, whilst still receiving other therapies to treat the condition.

Cambridgeshire Homecare are experienced in delivering palliative care, and use a person centred approach to ensure that the outcomes of the service are agreed with the client, family and all other stakeholders. We recognise the need to communicate effectively in these circumstances, and understand how health conditions may progress, to assist with planning for the future.

End of Life Care

End of life care is support for people who are in the last months or weeks of their life. This should help you to live as well as possible, meeting essential care needs and providing dignity and respect.

Cambridgeshire Homecare will provide a nominated person to discuss the wishes and preferences of each individual, and take these into account to design a detailed care plan to suit the client’s needs. We can also provide support to family and carers, by offering respite services and additional assistance when required.

Cambridgeshire Homecare are responsive to the changing needs of our clients, and experienced in working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We provide the highest quality of support, to promote dignity, respect and privacy at all times.
